Cholit is a small kibbutz at the very South of Israel near the Egyptian and Gazan border, that was established in the 1977 in the Sinai and was transferred to the Negev as part of the 1982 Egypt–Israel peace treaty. Cholit has grown from 21 to 84 families in the past 10 years. On October 7th the kibbutz was attacked and 13 members were murdered and 2 are being held captive in Azza. Over the coming months, our BKOA community will be forging relationships with the Cholit community as they try to maintain their sense of community while they are scattered in different temporary locations. This year, our seniors and youth will be making mishloach manot to deliver to each family in Cholit as well as to a plugah of soldiers currently in Azza. חולית הוא קיבוץ קטן בדרום הארץ קרוב לגבול מצרים וגבול עזה. קיבוץ חולית נוסד ב1977 בסיני והועבר לנגב במסגרת ההסכמים עם מצרים. ב10 שנים האחרונות גדל הקיבוץ מ21 ל84 משפחות. ב7 באוקטובר הקיבוץ הותקף ו13 חברי קיבוץ הותקפו ו2 נחטפו לעזה. בחודשים הקרובים קהילת אוהל ארי תחזק את הקשרים עם קהילת חולית במטרה להחזיר את הגיבוש הקהילתי לאחר חודשים רבים בהם הם היו מפוזרים באיזורים שונים . השנה , הפנסיונרים שלנו והנוער יכינו משלוח מנות שישלח לכל משפחה מחולית עוד משלוח מיוחד יצא לפלוגת חיילים שנמצאת כעת בעזה ( חלק מהחיילים הם מבני הקהילה) בבקשה עזרו לנו ע'י תרומה למשלוח זה
